Cottage Details

Location - Omeo Miners Cottage is located in the heart of Omeo.  

​

Parking - We offer undercover parking in the garage at the back of the property.  There is also street parking available at the front and back of the property.

 

Check-In - Check-in is 2:00 pm and is a self check in system, handy if you are arriving later in the evening.

Check-Out - Check-out is 11:00 am.  Check-out is also a self check-out.

We are always happy to accommodate early check in and late check out by arrangement and if available.

 

Linen - All Linen and towels are provided.  Beds will be freshly made and towels will be on each bed when you arrive. Towels for river swimming are not provided so please bring your own towels if you intend on swimming in the river.

Appliances - The stove is gas, matches provided to light the gas burners. Small microwave Kettle, toaster and sandwich toasty machine all provided. We have a coffee plunger if you would like something a little fancier than instant coffee. The water in Omeo is fresh and lovely to drink but we do offer a water purifier for those who prefer.  

​

Kitchenware - All kitchenware is provided including pots, pans, a wok, salad bowl, strainers and dishes for platers.  A very full cutlery draw, plates, bowls, cups and all the things you expect to find in a kitchen. 

 

Heating/Cooling - We have a Fireplace, it is a Coonara style fireplace in the main living area. Firelighters and tools are also provided as well as kindling and wood. The fireplace will be set upon your arrival for your convenience.  We also have a split system heater/aircon unit in the main living area.  Bar heaters are also in each bedroom as well as fans for the summer evening.

Laundry Facilities - We have an excellent Miele washing machine that is also a dryer. Laundry detergent is supplied.

 

TV -  The TV is a smart TV and has all of the digital channels available.  As we do not have internet it does not have internet only channel access.

HERE ARE SOME OTHER FUN FACTS

​

Tea, coffee, sugar, toilet paper, soap and a few other handy bits are provided.

​

Do not park on the grass in the winter months, or you will get bogged!

​

The block is on a gentle slope, it is not appropriate for people with serious mobility issues.  At the back door, there are some remaining concrete steps, from when the house was originally built back in the 40's, which are steep, and you should be mindful of this when booking.

​

Dogs are most welcome. However, please be courteous of future guests and keep them off the furniture and out of the bedrooms.  Please clean up the yard after your pets before vacating the property.
